Simon Fraser University from an Ontario high school
What average does SFU want from an Ontario student?
SFU publishes the grade ranges it has actually accepted over the past three years, mostly by faculty rather than by program, and writes them as words.
What the university says it has actually accepted, as a range. Read from SFU’s own pages on September 20, 2026.
Computing Science
Canadian and permanent residents: high 80s to low 90s
Sustainable Energy Engineering
Canadian and permanent residents: mid 80s
Beedie School of Business, all programs
All highschool students: Minimum grades in the 80s and supplemental application
SFU says grades equal to or higher than these do not guarantee an offer. The ranges split by citizenship, not by province, so there is no Ontario-specific figure.
The courses it wants
Six Grade 12 U or M courses including ENG4U at a minimum of 70%. Engineering Science adds Advanced Functions, Chemistry and Physics at 75% each.
