University of British Columbia from an Ontario high school
What average does UBC want from an Ontario student?
UBC publishes no program-level average at all. Its calendar sets one minimum for every undergraduate program, and its annual enrolment report gives the range the entering class actually had.
A published minimum. Clearing it is the floor, not the decision. Read from UBC’s own pages on September 20, 2026.
Vancouver campus, every program
A minimum overall admission average of 70%
Okanagan campus, every program
A minimum overall admission average of 67%
Entering grade range, 2025–26
89–91% Vancouver, 85–87% Okanagan
Both calendars add that a higher academic achievement is often required, and the entering ranges are campus-wide averages from UBC's enrolment report, not program cutoffs.
The courses it wants
Requirements are per program and only come out of UBC's interactive tool: Commerce asks for ENG4U and MHF4U; Applied Science adds SCH4U and SPH4U, with Grade 11 chemistry and physics behind them.
