193 Ontario programs want more than marks — a form, a portfolio, an audition, a written questionnaire, a video interview. Most of them close before the January 15 OUAC deadline, and a few land in early December.

Miss one and you are out of consideration at a 98% average. It is the single most avoidable way to lose a program you were qualified for.

Supplementary applications close before the January OUAC deadline, and some land in early December. We’ll email you before the ones that apply to you.

We send your email address and the programs you’ve starred, so the reminders are the right ones. Your marks and your average are never sent — they stay in this browser. Deadline emails only, and you can reply to stop them.

Read off each university’s own page on 2026-08-15. Right now 9 of 16 have rolled over to this cycle — the rest still show last year’s date, which tells you roughly when to expect it but is not this year’s deadline. We show you which is which instead of pretending.

  • Ivey Advanced Entry Opportunity (AEO)

    Western University · OUAC checkbox + Ivey portal + Kira Talent

    A separate Ivey application: two activities written up as essays (max 500 words each) plus up to five more in point form, a named reference for every activity — "Applications without verified references will not be considered" — and a five-question Kira Talent video interview completed in one sitting. You must also click yes to Ivey AEO on your OUAC application.

  • Architectural Studies (BAAS) and Visual Studies (BAVS)

    A supplementary application from every applicant. Architectural Studies asks for three photographs of an object you made by hand plus a summary of at most 200 words; Visual Studies asks for six to eight images plus a 250–650 word statement. Missing it is fatal: "Those who do not submit a supplementary application by the posted deadlines will be automatically refused admission."

  • Applying to BOTH an Engineering program and a Faculty of Mathematics program

    The earlier Engineering deadline governs everything — the AIF, the online interview and all supplementary forms. This is the most avoidable way a strong applicant loses Engineering: they read February 15 on the Math page and miss the Engineering cutoff by two weeks.

    A mandatory in-person DART Invitational workshop, 9:30am–5pm, attended once on one of three offered dates, with pre-registration required. Every applicant must complete it to receive an offer — including anyone who already holds a conditional offer. Applicants living more than 500 km from campus may request an alternate interview.

  • Engineering, Computer Science, iBioMed and Bachelor of Technology

    McMaster University · Kira Talent

    A Kira Talent supplementary application — not CASPer. Four questions: three video responses (1 minute to prepare, 2 to answer) and one written response (10 minutes). There is a 0 fee paid through OUAC. You only complete it once even if you apply to several Faculty of Engineering programs; the invitation arrives from Kira within 10 business days of applying.

  • Arts & Science (OUAC code MX)

    McMaster University · McMaster Arts & Science form (MacID login)

    A mandatory two-part form. Part A is five questions with a 1,500 character limit each; Part B is an equity/facilitated-admissions section every applicant must complete. Needs a MacID, which arrives about a week after your OUAC application. McMaster states plainly that using generative AI to help write it "will be considered an infringement of academic integrity".

  • Computer Science (BSc)

    University of Toronto Mississauga · Join U of T applicant portal

    A written supplementary response: list achievements or experiences not reflected in your transcript that show your interest and potential in computing. It opens on the Join U of T applicant site after you submit through OUAC. Note this is worded differently from the St. George Computer Science supplement — applying to both campuses means completing two.

  • Schulich BBA / iBBA

    York University — Schulich · OUAC, then the Schulich supplementary application

    You must apply through OUAC first, and Schulich does not accept late applications. Your York student number arrives 7–10 business days afterwards and you need it to open the supplementary application — so applying on the deadline itself compresses the window you have left to complete the supplement.

    A mandatory supplementary application. Every row of McMaster’s timeline has been reset to "Coming Soon" for this cycle — questions, portal access and offer dates alike. Their warning is worth reading twice: "Supplementary Applications portal access is time limited. Extensions are not granted."

Ontario Universities’ Info names the requirement but never the deadline or the platform — those live only on each university’s own site. Every program links through. Never take a date from us you haven’t seen on theirs.
