Does Laurier (Waterloo) give you an alternative offer if you miss your first choice?
We automatically consider students for alternative offers of admission.
We may use a wait list for competitive programs, including Business Administration, Health Sciences and Kinesiology. Students we place on a wait list will also receive an alternative offer of admission.
Students can make requests for changes to alternative offers directly to the Admissions office, pending space availability in the program. Accessible Learning
Students should register with the Accessible Learning Centre (ALC) as soon as they accept their offer of admission. www.wlu.ca/accessible
Students should review our disability documentation requirements while preparing to register with the ALC.
GOAL: Golden Hawk's Orientation to Accessible Learning is an online program that orients students with a disability to learning at Laurier. | https://students.wlu.ca/academics/ support-and-advising/accessible-learning-centre/ registration/orientation-to-accessible-learning.html

How that compares
Laurier (Waterloo) considers you for an alternative automatically. Only 10 of the 23 Ontario universities that answer this do, so it is worth knowing before you assume the common rule applies.
5 universities make alternative offers for some programs only
Ontario Tech, TMU, Ottawa, U of T (St. George), Waterloo
4 universities do not make alternative offers at all
OCAD, Queen's, Guelph-Humber, Western
1 university decides each of your choices separately instead
McMaster
1 university drops you from co-op to the regular program, but no further
Guelph
This is what Laurier (Waterloo) tells Ontario guidance counsellors; it is not published on their student pages. Rules like this change rarely, but confirm anything you are about to act on.
