What it is	You study a specialized branch of engineering — chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical, software, or another field — applying math and science to design and build real structures, systems, or software. In your first year, you take core math, physics, chemistry, and engineering courses alongside introductory modules in civil, computer, electrical, mechanical, software, and space engineering. You study how to design, build, and maintain software systems and applications, from the coding and logic to the architecture that makes programs run.
