Unlike a pure science degree, it focuses on the practical side: working with communities, governments, and organizations to manage natural resources and protect ecosystems. This program lets you study pure science in one of four areas: biology, chemistry, physics, or a mix of these subjects. You'll take foundational courses in your chosen field and build toward specialized upper-year courses. It suits students who want a strong grounding in how the natural world works, whether they're planning to go further in science or use that knowledge in other directions.	You study how the natural world works alongside the human systems that affect it. The BES focuses on environmental policy, conservation, and sustainability through social and geographic lenses, while the BSc emphasizes the physical science side: geology, ecology, and environmental processes. Both paths suit people interested in solving real environmental problems through either policy and community work or scientific research and analysis.	You study the science and management of forests, learning about tree biology, ecosystem health, soil, and sustainable harvesting practices. The co-op option lets you work for forestry companies or government agencies during your degree, giving you real workplace experience alongside your coursework. This program suits students who want hands-on work with forests and ecosystems rather than purely classroom-based environmental study.
