What it is	Critical Criminology examines why crimes happen and how criminal justice systems work, focusing on how power, inequality, and social structures shape both crime and punishment. Unlike traditional criminology, which mainly studies criminal behaviour itself, this program questions whether laws and enforcement are fair and who benefits from the current system. It suits students interested in understanding crime as a social problem rather than just studying offenders.	This program lets you study criminal justice and education at the same time, earning two degrees in five years instead of six. You'll learn about law, crime, and the justice system while also training to teach grades 1 through 6. It suits people who want to work as a teacher but have a strong interest in how the criminal justice system works, or who see themselves teaching in alternative schools or programs focused on at-risk youth.	You study education and arts together while you train to teach French at the middle and high school level. Unlike a straight education degree, this program embeds your subject-area coursework in arts and social sciences alongside your teaching methods training, so you graduate ready to teach French plus another subject.
