In most cases: If you apply to only 1 Brock program but do not qualify, you will be considered for an alternative or related program. What it isThis program combines computer science and business study, so you learn both how to build software systems and how organizations work. Unlike a straight computer science degree, you'll take business courses alongside your programming and technical work. The co-op component means you alternate between classroom terms and paid work terms at companies. It suits people who want technical skills but also care about the business side of how software gets made and sold. You study business fundamentals — accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, and management — at two Lakehead campuses in Ontario and complete mandatory work terms alongside your courses. This structure differs from a standard business degree by splitting your education between Thunder Bay and Orillia and requiring you to alternate semesters of study with paid work experience. It suits students who want practical industry exposure while earning a degree and are comfortable moving between campuses.
