What it is	History at Brock is the study of past human societies, events, and ideas, and how they shape the world today. You'll analyze primary sources, examine different interpretations of historical events, and develop research and writing skills. This program includes optional work terms where you apply historical thinking to jobs in archives, museums, government, or cultural organizations.	You study the history, literature, philosophy, and culture of ancient Greece and Rome through their own texts and artifacts. This is a focused humanities program centred on these two civilizations rather than a broad survey of ancient world cultures. It suits students who enjoy reading classical texts, understanding how ancient societies shaped Western thought, and are comfortable with language study or historical analysis.	You study how people and societies should organize themselves, and what makes choices right or wrong. Ethics and political philosophy blend thinking about moral principles with questions about power, justice, law, and governance. This program suits students who want to understand the foundations of politics and ethics through careful argument and debate rather than through policy work or management training.	Cognitive science is the study of how the mind works — combining psychology, philosophy, linguistics, and computer science to understand thinking, language, and behaviour. This program lets you choose a co-op option, placing you in paid work terms with employers in neuroscience, tech, or research fields alongside your courses. It suits people curious about both how brains function and how that knowledge applies in real jobs.
