What it isHistory at Brock is the study of past human societies, events, and ideas, and how they shape the world today. You'll analyze primary sources, examine different interpretations of historical events, and develop research and writing skills. This program includes optional work terms where you apply historical thinking to jobs in archives, museums, government, or cultural organizations. You study French language, literature, and culture in depth, learning how to read, write, and think critically about French-speaking texts and ideas. The iBA option means you spend a year abroad in a French-speaking country, giving you immersion in the language and culture alongside your coursework. This program suits students who love French and want genuine fluency and cultural knowledge, whether or not they're already a strong French speaker at entry. You study the science of human movement and fitness combined with teaching and coaching methods. This program integrates exercise physiology, biomechanics, and sport psychology with practical skills in coaching athletes and leading fitness programs. Unlike a pure kinesiology degree, this one prepares you directly for careers coaching teams or instructing fitness classes. It suits people who want to work in sports, recreation, or wellness settings and learn both the scientific reasoning and hands-on teaching side.
