  • You will receive an offer of admission to only 1 program. Your highest listed choice is considered first when you indicate more than 1 Brock program on your application. If you are not eligible for your first choice, your subsequent choices will be considered in your indicated order of preference. In most cases: If you apply to only 1 Brock program but do not qualify, you will be considered for an alternative or related program. If you apply but are not admitted to a co-op program, you will automatically be considered for the regular, non co-op program.

What it isThis program combines a physical education degree with teacher training in a single four-year path, so you graduate qualified to teach high school PE and health. You study exercise science, coaching, and how to teach sports and fitness effectively, rather than completing a separate education degree after finishing your first degree. It suits students who know they want to teach PE specifically and prefer to complete their training without the extra year that a consecutive degree requires. You study child development, education, and teaching methods while completing your bachelor's degree and teacher certification at the same time. This concurrent program combines your university coursework with education courses and practicum placements, so you earn both your BA and teaching credential in four years instead of five. It suits students who are certain they want to teach primary or junior grades and want to enter the classroom faster than traditional pathways allow. In this program, you study an Arts subject — such as English, Economics, Drama, or Environmental Studies — while simultaneously earning your teaching qualification. Unlike a regular BA where you add teacher training after, you complete both degrees together over four years, so you graduate ready to teach your subject in Ontario schools. It suits students who know they want to teach a specific subject and want to combine their subject expertise with education training from the start.
