What it isPsychology at Brock is a broad study of how people think, feel, and behave. You'll learn about the brain, emotions, learning, relationships, and mental health through lectures, labs, and research. This program includes a co-op option, letting you work in clinical settings, schools, or research labs while you study, which gives you real-world experience alongside your degree. You study how the mind affects athletic performance and physical activity — combining sports science with psychology. You learn about motivation, stress, focus, and how athletes' thoughts and emotions influence training and competition. This differs from a straight psychology degree because the focus stays on sports and exercise contexts rather than broader mental health or clinical applications. This program teaches you how the human body moves and functions during exercise, sport, and daily activity, combining anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics. Unlike a general health science degree, kinesiology focuses specifically on physical movement and performance. The co-op option lets you work for employers in fitness, rehabilitation, or sports settings while completing your degree, suiting students who want practical experience alongside classroom learning.
