What it is	Biological Sciences is the study of living organisms — their structure, function, genetics, ecology, and how they interact with their environment. At Brock, you can pursue this as a straight Bachelor of Science or combine it with teacher education through the BSc/BEd, which qualifies you to teach biology in Ontario high schools. The program includes a co-op option that integrates paid work terms with your studies, giving you practical experience in research labs, government agencies, or industry.	This program combines a science degree with teacher training, so you earn both qualifications in four years instead of five. You choose a science major — such as computer science, mathematics, environmental studies, or psychology — and study it alongside education courses that prepare you to teach at the primary or junior elementary level. It suits students who know they want to teach science or math in elementary school and want to complete their training faster than the traditional separate-degree route.	You earn a Science degree in one of several subjects — Computer Science, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, Psychology, or Biology — while simultaneously completing teacher training to become certified to teach junior and intermediate grades. This direct-entry stream combines both degrees in one program, so you graduate ready to teach right away instead than doing them separately. It suits people certain they want to teach a science subject at the middle or high school level and want to complete both qualifications together.
