Unlike general design programs, landscape architecture focuses specifically on outdoor environments and includes technical skills in grading, drainage, and site planning. It suits people who want to solve real problems through design and enjoy working both creatively and analytically with land and plants.	This is a one-year English and design foundation program for international students whose English skills need strengthening before entering architecture or design studies. You take intensive English classes alongside introductory courses in architecture, landscape design, and visual design to build both language ability and design thinking. It suits international students who have strong potential but need to reach the English proficiency standard the university requires for direct entry into degree programs.	Arts and Humanities programs at Western let you study literature, history, languages, creative work, and visual art — subjects focused on human culture and expression rather than science or business. You can pursue a general BA, combine business with arts, earn a specialized BFA in fine art, or complete a shorter certificate or diploma. The co-op option lets you alternate study terms with paid work placements related to your field. This suits people drawn to writing, analysis, visual creativity, or understanding how societies and cultures work.	In this program, you study an Arts subject — such as English, Economics, Drama, or Environmental Studies — while simultaneously earning your teaching qualification. Unlike a regular BA where you add teacher training after, you complete both degrees together over four years, so you graduate ready to teach your subject in Ontario schools.
