What it is	Environmental Design at OCAD combines architecture, landscape design, and urban planning to teach you how to shape buildings and outdoor spaces that work well for people and the environment. Unlike a traditional architecture program, it emphasizes the relationship between design and sustainability across multiple scales, from gardens to whole neighbourhoods. It suits students who want to design physical spaces but prefer a broader, more environmentally conscious approach than architecture alone.	In this program, you study an Arts subject — such as English, Economics, Drama, or Environmental Studies — while simultaneously earning your teaching qualification. Unlike a regular BA where you add teacher training after, you complete both degrees together over four years, so you graduate ready to teach your subject in Ontario schools. It suits students who know they want to teach a specific subject and want to combine their subject expertise with education training from the start.	Arts and Humanities programs at Western let you study literature, history, languages, creative work, and visual art — subjects focused on human culture and expression rather than science or business. You can pursue a general BA, combine business with arts, earn a specialized BFA in fine art, or complete a shorter certificate or diploma. The co-op option lets you alternate study terms with paid work placements related to your field.
