What it is	A four-year Bachelor of Arts in History means you study the past — events, people, societies, and how they shaped the world — through reading primary sources, analyzing interpretations, and writing essays. Unlike a shorter history diploma or certificate, this degree gives you time to specialize in particular periods or regions and develop research skills expected in graduate study or professional work. You'll analyze primary sources, examine different interpretations of historical events, and develop research and writing skills. This program includes optional work terms where you apply historical thinking to jobs in archives, museums, government, or cultural organizations.	You study history through any of several regional or cultural lenses — Aboriginal, African, Asian, Classical, Celtic, Chinese, or others — learning how societies developed over time and what shaped their values and conflicts. Unlike a straight history degree, this program requires you to complete paid work terms alongside your courses, giving you real experience in archives, museums, heritage organizations, or related fields.
