What it isHealth Promotion combines the study of how to improve public health and wellness with practical skills in managing health data and understanding exercise science. You'll learn about disease prevention, community health programs, and how technology helps track and communicate health information, alongside the science of how bodies respond to physical activity. This program suits students interested in preventive health work — rather than treating illness — who want a mix of science and practical application. This program trains you to teach high school while earning two degrees at once: a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor's degree in environmental and urban change. Unlike a regular education degree, you study both teaching methods and a focused subject combining environmental science, geography, planning, and politics. It suits students who want to specialize in environmental or urban issues and pass that knowledge to students in a classroom.
