What it isEarth Sciences is the study of rocks, minerals, landforms, and the physical processes that shape the planet. You'll learn geology — how Earth's crust forms and changes — alongside physical geography, which focuses on climate, water systems, and landscapes. This program includes a co-op work term, giving you hands-on experience in the field or with industry partners. You study chemistry and biochemistry alongside music performance or theory over five years, earning two degrees at once. Unlike a single major, you commit equal time to both fields, which means rigorous lab work and science courses paired with music ensemble, applied lessons, or composition. This suits students who have genuine strength and passion in both science and the arts, and want to pursue careers that might combine them or keep both paths open. You study how cities and regions develop, grow, and change, combining geography, planning, politics, and social policy to understand urban and rural environments. This program emphasizes the interconnected nature of these topics rather than treating them as separate disciplines. Co-op work terms are available, letting you gain practical experience in planning offices, government agencies, or development organizations alongside your coursework.
