What it is	You study how to design, build, and test software systems that solve real problems. Software engineering goes beyond pure coding to include planning, teamwork, and understanding what users actually need. This program includes mandatory co-op work terms where you apply what you learn in paid positions, and you can choose a degree stream that adds management skills or explores the social impact of technology alongside the technical core.	Engineering is a four-year degree in applied science and problem-solving, with seven specializations: civil, computer, electronic and electrical, geomatics, mechanical, software, and space. The co-op option lets you alternate between classroom semesters and paid work terms at engineering firms, giving you real experience before you graduate. It suits people who want hands-on technical training, enjoy math and physics, and prefer learning through doing alongside theory.	In your first year, you take core math, physics, chemistry, and engineering courses alongside introductory modules in civil, computer, electrical, mechanical, software, and space engineering.
