What it is	Actuarial Science is the study of statistics, mathematics, and financial risk — you learn to analyze and predict the likelihood and cost of future events to help insurance companies, pension funds, and other businesses make sound financial decisions. It goes deeper into applied math and probability than a general science degree, preparing you for actuarial certification exams. This program suits students who are strong in math, enjoy working with data and logic, and want to move into financial risk management or insurance.	You earn a Bachelor of Arts degree while simultaneously training to become a high school teacher. You study an academic subject like English, history, or mathematics alongside education courses that teach you how to teach those subjects to teenagers. Unlike a regular BA followed by a separate teacher education program, you complete both degrees at the same time in four years, so you enter the classroom faster and with integrated training.
