What it is	In this program, you study French language and literature while completing teacher training at the same time, earning both an Arts degree and a teaching credential in four years. Unlike a regular Arts degree followed by a separate teacher's program, you integrate education courses throughout, so you graduate ready to teach French in Ontario schools. It suits students who know they want to teach French and want to combine academic depth in the language with practical classroom skills from the start.	Humanities is the study of human culture, history, ideas, and expression through subjects like history, philosophy, literature, classics, and religious studies. You choose courses across these fields rather than specializing in just one, so you develop a broad understanding of how societies, texts, and beliefs have shaped each other over time. This suits people curious about why humans think and act as they do, who enjoy reading and discussion, and who want flexibility to explore before narrowing down.	You study history through any of several regional or cultural lenses — Aboriginal, African, Asian, Classical, Celtic, Chinese, or others — learning how societies developed over time and what shaped their values and conflicts. Unlike a straight history degree, this program requires you to complete paid work terms alongside your courses, giving you real experience in archives, museums, heritage organizations, or related fields. It suits students who want deep historical knowledge but also want to test out careers and earn money before graduation.
