What it isCriminology is the study of crime, criminal behaviour, and the justice system that responds to it. You'll examine why people commit crimes, how laws are enforced, and the social and psychological factors behind criminal activity. This program suits people interested in understanding crime from an academic angle rather than pursuing law or direct policing careers. This program lets you earn two degrees at once: a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Education that qualifies you to teach high school. You study criminology, law, and education theory together rather than sequentially, finishing both degrees faster than if you did them separately. It suits people who want to teach secondary students and have a strong interest in law, crime, or justice topics. You study how to manage sports facilities, recreation programs, and leisure services for communities and organizations. Unlike a general sports science program, this degree focuses on the business and administrative side — scheduling, budgeting, staffing, and customer experience — rather than personal fitness or athletic performance. The co-op work terms, built into the four-year degree, let you apply management skills in real sports and recreation settings while you study.
