What it is	Architectural Science is the study of how buildings work technically and functionally—covering structure, systems, materials, and design—rather than architecture as pure art. The co-op option lets you work at real firms alongside your studies, giving you paid work experience in the field. This program suits students who want to understand the practical side of building design and who value hands-on learning in an actual workplace.	You study how to design and build infrastructure like roads, bridges, buildings, and water systems, along with surveying land and managing environmental impacts. This co-op stream requires you to complete mandatory work terms alongside your coursework, alternating between classroom and real engineering jobs. It suits students who want practical hands-on experience while earning, and who are comfortable balancing study and full-time work over five years instead of four.	In this program, you study an Arts subject — such as English, Economics, Drama, or Environmental Studies — while simultaneously earning your teaching qualification. Unlike a regular BA where you add teacher training after, you complete both degrees together over four years, so you graduate ready to teach your subject in Ontario schools. It suits students who know they want to teach a specific subject and want to combine their subject expertise with education training from the start.	Arts and Humanities programs at Western let you study literature, history, languages, creative work, and visual art — subjects focused on human culture and expression rather than science or business. You can pursue a general BA, combine business with arts, earn a specialized BFA in fine art, or complete a shorter certificate or diploma.
