What it is	This program teaches you how to design, build, and test software and computer systems. You study programming languages, algorithms, data structures, and how computers work at a fundamental level. It suits people who enjoy problem-solving and logical thinking, whether you want to work in industry, research, or develop your own applications.	Mechatronics engineering combines mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and software engineering to design and build machines and systems that integrate all three disciplines — think robots, automated manufacturing equipment, or smart devices. Unlike a traditional mechanical or electrical engineering program, mechatronics focuses specifically on how these fields work together rather than treating them separately. The program includes mandatory co-op work terms, and you can pursue it as a straight engineering degree or combined with management or social studies, depending on your interests.
