What it is	Visual Studies is the study of how images, film, photography, and design communicate meaning and shape culture. You'll learn theory, history, and hands-on practice across cinematography, photography, fine art, and design. This program suits students who want to understand visual culture deeply and develop creative skills, rather than train narrowly for a specific design or film production role.	Industrial Design teaches you how to plan and shape physical products — from phones to furniture to medical devices — so they work well, look good, and can actually be made. You'll combine design thinking with engineering and manufacturing knowledge to understand both the creative and practical sides of bringing products to life. The co-op term lets you work in industry while you study, so you apply what you learn to real projects.	Environmental Design at OCAD combines architecture, landscape design, and urban planning to teach you how to shape buildings and outdoor spaces that work well for people and the environment. Unlike a traditional architecture program, it emphasizes the relationship between design and sustainability across multiple scales, from gardens to whole neighbourhoods.
