What it isYou study the mathematics of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to answer questions and solve real-world problems. The co-op option lets you do paid work terms at employers who use statistics, alternating with school semesters, so you can test the work before committing fully. This suits people who want hands-on experience in their field while they learn, or who are still deciding whether applied statistics work appeals to them.Mechatronics engineering combines mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and software engineering to design and build machines and systems that integrate all three disciplines — think robots, automated manufacturing equipment, or smart devices. Unlike a traditional mechanical or electrical engineering program, mechatronics focuses specifically on how these fields work together rather than treating them separately. The program includes mandatory co-op work terms, and you can pursue it as a straight engineering degree or combined with management or social studies, depending on your interests.
