What it is	Geography at Wilfrid Laurier is the study of both human societies and natural systems — how people organize themselves across space, and how climate, landforms, and ecosystems shape the world. The program lets you choose between emphasizing human geography (cities, cultures, economics, politics) or physical geography (weather, geology, water), or blend both. A co-op option lets you gain work experience in fields like urban planning, environmental consulting, or government during your degree, which suits students who want to test career paths while studying.	Geography is the study of Earth's physical systems — landforms, climate, water — and how humans interact with their environment and each other across space. You'll combine field research, data analysis using mapping technology, and social analysis to understand everything from urban development to environmental change. This program includes a co-op work term, giving you paid workplace experience alongside your studies.	You study how cities and regions develop, grow, and change, combining geography, planning, politics, and social policy to understand urban and rural environments. This program emphasizes the interconnected nature of these topics rather than treating them as separate disciplines.
