What it isPsychology is the scientific study of human behaviour and mental processes — how people think, feel, and act. At Wilfrid Laurier, you can choose between a BA (emphasizing the social and humanities aspects) or a BSc (focusing on research methods and biological foundations). The program includes optional co-op terms where you work in real clinical, research, or organizational settings alongside your studies, giving you practical experience that pure coursework alone doesn't provide. This program lets you earn two full degrees at once: a Bachelor of Arts in music and a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry. You study music performance or theory alongside chemistry, molecular biology, and advanced lab work in biochemical processes. It takes five years instead of four because you're completing two independent degree programs, and it suits students who are serious about both fields and want a credential in each rather than a single combined major. You study science and business together in one program, combining technical subjects like chemistry or biology with courses in marketing, entrepreneurship, and business strategy. Unlike a regular science degree with a business minor added on, this program integrates both throughout, so you learn how science discoveries become commercial products. The co-op option lets you alternate school terms with paid work placements. This suits students who want a science background but also care about bringing ideas to market or running a company.
