What it isEnvironmental Sciences is a degree combining biology, geology, chemistry, and geography to understand how natural systems work and respond to human activity. The co-op version requires you to complete paid work terms at environmental organizations or research facilities alongside your studies, giving you real-world experience before you graduate. It suits students who want hands-on learning and prefer to test career directions in the field rather than only in classrooms. This is a four-year science degree focused on understanding natural systems and how human activity affects them. You study biology, chemistry, ecology, and earth science together rather than picking one specialty. It suits students who want a broad grounding in environmental problem-solving and are comfortable with lab work and field studies. This program teaches you Earth's physical systems: rocks and minerals, landforms, weather patterns, soil, and water. You'll study how natural processes shape the planet and how humans interact with the environment through forestry, geology, and environmental management. It suits students curious about natural systems and interested in careers protecting ecosystems or managing natural resources.
