What it is	Political Science at York is the study of how governments work, how power is organized, and how social policies affect people's lives. The international version (iBA) includes a work term abroad, while the regular BA lets you do optional co-op placements in government, advocacy, or policy organizations. This program suits people interested in understanding politics, law, social change, or working in public service.	A philosophy program teaches you how to think critically about fundamental questions: what is knowledge, how should we live, what makes something right or wrong, and how does society work. You'll study philosophy alongside politics and social policy to understand both abstract ideas and their real-world impact on people and institutions. This suits people who enjoy debate, reading complex texts, and asking "why" about things others take for granted.
