What it is	Political Science at York is the study of how governments work, how power is organized, and how social policies affect people's lives. The international version (iBA) includes a work term abroad, while the regular BA lets you do optional co-op placements in government, advocacy, or policy organizations. Political Science is the study of government, law, political systems, and how power works in society. You'll examine Canadian and international politics, political theory, and institutions from multiple angles. This four-year program suits people who want a broad foundation in politics before deciding whether to specialize in law, policy, international relations, or public administration.	A philosophy program teaches you how to think critically about fundamental questions: what is knowledge, how should we live, what makes something right or wrong, and how does society work. You'll study philosophy alongside politics and social policy to understand both abstract ideas and their real-world impact on people and institutions.
