  Architectural Studies (BAAS) and Visual Studies (BAVS)

  A supplementary application from every applicant. Architectural Studies asks for three photographs of an object you made by hand plus a summary of at most 200 words; Visual Studies asks for six to eight images plus a 250–650 word statement. Missing it is fatal: "Those who do not submit a supplementary application by the posted deadlines will be automatically refused admission."

  "Final deadline for Supplementary Application: February 1st, 2027 (11:59pm, Eastern Standard Time)". A separate early deadline for international and out-of-province applicants is listed as TBA.

When offers go out

We make conditional offers of admission in monthly rounds, beginning in January (select programs) and concluding in May.

We may invite current Ontario high school applicants to some programs to join a wait list if we cannot make an offer of admission due to space limitations. All responses, whether an offer of admission, a refusal or a wait list invitation, will be published by May 28, 2026. Deferring your offer

Applicants may apply for a 1-year deferral of admission. We will consider deferral requests from applicants who have: o accepted their offer of admission and paid the admission deposit (if required) and o met all conditions of the offer of admission and confirmed that they do not plan to study at another postsecondary institution.

The cost to apply for deferral of an offer of admission is $90.

Tuition deposit

Tuition deposits are not required for Domestic students

We will require a deposit of $5,000 for students on a study permit to accept their offer. Details will be in the offer letter.

OUAC dates that apply to everyone

• August 2026youThe OUAC relaunches Ontario Universities' Info and starts posting application material for fall 2027 admission. This is the month the information appears, not the month you can apply.
• Mid-September 2026not published by OUACyouThe OUAC application opens for Ontario high school students. OUAC has not published an exact date for this cycle — anything you see online naming a specific day is not coming from OUAC.
• January 15, 2027youThe deadline for Ontario high school students to submit their completed application. This is the one date everybody knows — but several supplementary applications land before it. The OUAC still processes applications received after this date, though individual university deadlines then apply.
• May 28, 2027youThe latest date you can expect a response if you applied by January 15 — an offer, a refusal, or a deferral of admission.
• June 1, 2027youThe earliest date a university can require you to respond to an offer or pay a deposit. Scholarships, financial aid and residence all count as part of the offer: you may accept them earlier if you want to, but nothing can be demanded of you before this date.
