What it is	Film Studies teaches you how to analyze movies, television, and visual media critically, plus how to create your own films and photographs. You'll study both the technical and artistic sides of filmmaking, from cinematography to storytelling. This program suits people who want to understand how media shapes culture and who are interested in working behind or in front of the camera.	You study the creative and technical craft of making films, from cinematography and camera work to storytelling and visual composition. Unlike a broader media studies program, Image Arts focuses on hands-on production skills and the visual language of cinema rather than theory alone. This suits students who want to create films themselves and are comfortable learning through doing.	A three-year Bachelor of Arts lets you choose from humanities and social science subjects like history, English, anthropology, geography, and environmental studies. Unlike an honours degree, you complete fewer credits overall and have more flexibility to explore different fields or combine subjects without specializing deeply in one.
