What it is	Chemistry at Brock is the study of matter, reactions, and the properties of substances. You learn how atoms and molecules interact, and gain hands-on lab experience. The BSc/BEd option combines chemistry with teacher education so you can qualify to teach high school science. The co-op option lets you alternate semesters of study with paid work in chemistry-related jobs, giving you real workplace experience before you graduate. This suits students who want a practical understanding of how chemistry works in industry or education.	You study chemistry alongside medical and biological sciences, learning how molecules, cells, and chemical processes work in living systems. This combines pure chemistry with applied health science rather than focusing only on one discipline. It suits students interested in understanding the chemical basis of medicine, pharmacology, or biochemistry without committing to a professional health program like medicine.	Biochemistry is the study of the chemical processes that happen inside living cells and organisms — how molecules interact, how energy moves through bodies, and how drugs and poisons affect biological systems.
