What it is	Sociology is the study of how people live together in groups, families, communities, and societies. You'll examine social patterns, inequality, culture, and institutions to understand why people behave the way they do and how social structures shape our lives. This program suits people curious about society and human behaviour who want to think critically about how the world works.	This program combines the study of how science and technology shape society and how social forces influence technological development. Unlike a pure science or pure sociology program, you examine the relationship between the two — asking questions like how social values affect which technologies get built, or how new technology changes the way people live. It suits students curious about the real-world impact of innovation who want social science thinking alongside technical understanding.	You study core business subjects like accounting, finance, marketing, and human resources, alongside economics and psychology. This program includes a co-op stream, meaning you alternate between classroom terms and paid work terms at companies, giving you real workplace experience alongside your degree. It suits people who want practical business skills and prefer learning by doing, not just theory.	You study business fundamentals — accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, and management — at two Lakehead campuses in Ontario and complete mandatory work terms alongside your courses. This structure differs from a standard business degree by splitting your education between Thunder Bay and Orillia and requiring you to alternate semesters of study with paid work experience.
