You'll examine social patterns, inequality, culture, and institutions to understand why people behave the way they do and how social structures shape our lives. This program suits people curious about society and human behaviour who want to think critically about how the world works.	This program combines the study of how science and technology shape society and how social forces influence technological development. Unlike a pure science or pure sociology program, you examine the relationship between the two — asking questions like how social values affect which technologies get built, or how new technology changes the way people live. It suits students curious about the real-world impact of innovation who want social science thinking alongside technical understanding.	You study how people communicate through media, journalism, and public discourse, combined with the sociological analysis of human behaviour and social structures. This joint honours program lets you develop depth in both fields rather than choosing one, and the co-op option embeds paid work terms into your degree. It suits students curious about why societies work the way they do and how communication shapes — and reflects — social change.
