What it isYou study how people communicate through media — TV, film, social media, journalism, advertising, and public relations. The program combines theory about how media shapes society with practical skills in creating and analyzing media content. It suits people interested in understanding media's role in the world and developing hands-on abilities in broadcasting, digital production, or communications work. You study the fundamentals of running businesses and organizations, covering topics like marketing, human resources, economics, and entrepreneurship. The co-op option lets you alternate between classroom semesters and paid work terms at real companies, giving you practical experience alongside your degree. This program suits students who want a broad business foundation with flexible entry points into different industries, and who value learning by doing. You study how to create practical solutions to social problems by combining ideas from business, politics, and social sciences. Unlike a straight business or political science degree, this program intentionally blends entrepreneurship, policy thinking, and community understanding so you can design and launch initiatives that address real needs. It suits people who want to work on social change but also need to understand how organizations, money, and systems actually work.
