What it is	This program teaches you to perform and interpret diagnostic tests on blood, tissue, and other body samples in hospitals and labs. It focuses on the hands-on skills and scientific knowledge that lab technicians use to help doctors diagnose disease. The Northern Access Initiative means the program is designed for students from remote or underserved regions of Ontario, with support to help you succeed in a full-time, lab-based career.	You study the engineering behind medical devices and electrical systems that keep people healthy. This combined program blends electrical engineering with biomedical technology, so you learn to design everything from pacemakers to imaging equipment rather than focusing on either field alone. The program includes mandatory co-op work terms, giving you hands-on experience in hospitals, device companies, or research labs alongside your classroom learning. It suits people drawn to both electronics and healthcare who want to solve real problems in medicine.	You study to become a high school teacher in health or a related subject, while simultaneously earning a degree in that subject itself. Instead of finishing one degree and then teacher training separately, you do both at the same time over four years. This program suits students who know they want to teach health, science, or a similar field and want to combine their subject expertise with teaching credentials from the start.
