What it isYou study how to extract useful patterns and insights from large sets of data using computer science, mathematics, and statistics. The Co-op version requires you to complete paid work terms at companies throughout your degree, giving you real-world experience alongside your coursework. The Management option adds business and organizational courses if you want to lead data projects or work in strategy rather than focus purely on technical analysis. You study computer science and mathematics together as equally important subjects, rather than taking one as your main focus. This joint honours program lets you combine theoretical math with practical computing skills in ways a single-subject program cannot. It suits students who enjoy both fields and want to understand how mathematics powers computational problem-solving.You study computer science and mathematics together over five years, learning how to write code, analyse data, and solve problems using mathematical theory and statistical methods. Unlike a single major, this double degree gives you depth in both fields so you can build algorithms and understand the theory behind them. It suits people who want flexibility between pure mathematics and applied programming, and who value alternating work terms with their studies.

Ranges are what each university publishes, not guaranteed cutoffs, and limited-enrolment programs often admit above them. Confirm anything you are about to act on with the university; each column links to its source.
