What it is	Nuclear engineering teaches you how to design, build, and safely operate nuclear reactors and systems that produce power or are used in medicine and industry. The co-op option means you alternate between classroom terms and paid work terms at nuclear facilities or related companies, giving you real workplace experience before you graduate. The engineering and management version adds business and organizational skills alongside the technical training. This program suits students who want hands-on engineering work combined with workplace learning and have strong math and science foundations.	You earn a Science degree in one of several subjects — Computer Science, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, Psychology, or Biology — while simultaneously completing teacher training to become certified to teach junior and intermediate grades. This direct-entry stream combines both degrees in one program, so you graduate ready to teach right away instead than doing them separately. It suits people certain they want to teach a science subject at the middle or high school level and want to complete both qualifications together.
