What it is	This is a one-year diploma focused on how governments design and carry out policies that affect society — things like healthcare, education, welfare, and environmental rules. You study the politics behind policy decisions and learn how social policies actually get made and implemented. It suits people who already have a completed degree or college diploma and want to shift into policy work without committing to another full bachelor's degree.	In an undeclared major, you start a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Environmental Studies without committing to a specific subject right away. You take introductory courses across areas like geography, politics, social policy, and planning, then choose your major after your first year once you know what interests you most. This approach suits students who are drawn to social and environmental questions but unsure which discipline to study them through.	Political Science at Glendon is the study of government, power, policy-making, and how societies are organized and governed. You examine these topics through focused lenses like politics in specific regions (Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East), international development, law and criminology, or social policy. The iBA option adds a mandatory year abroad and deeper integration of language study, making it suited to students who want to engage with politics globally and become fluent in French.
