What it isComputer Science is the study of how to design, build, and understand software and computer systems. At Ontario Tech, you can choose between a straight science degree or combine it with management courses, which prepares you for roles where you lead tech projects or teams. The program includes a co-op component, giving you paid work terms at companies alongside your classes, which suits students who want real experience before graduating. You study how to run and launch businesses while learning environmental science and sustainability principles. This combines business skills with ecological knowledge, so you understand both profit and environmental impact. The co-op requirement means you alternate between classroom and paid work terms, giving you real workplace experience in green business and sustainability roles. It suits people who want to work in business but care about environmental problems.Industrial Design teaches you how to plan and shape physical products — from phones to furniture to medical devices — so they work well, look good, and can actually be made. You'll combine design thinking with engineering and manufacturing knowledge to understand both the creative and practical sides of bringing products to life. The co-op term lets you work in industry while you study, so you apply what you learn to real projects. This program lets you earn two degrees at once: a business administration credential covering accounting, finance, and entrepreneurship, plus an international studies degree in history, geography, or environmental studies. Unlike a typical business degree, you're required to complete a co-op work term, which gives you practical experience alongside classroom learning. It suits students who want both solid business training and deeper knowledge of global issues or a second subject area.
