What it isChemical biology combines chemistry and biology to study how molecules work inside living things — particularly how drugs and other chemical compounds interact with cells and organisms. The BSc&Mgt option adds business and management courses alongside the science, useful if you're interested in the commercial or leadership side of biotech companies. This program suits you if you enjoy both chemistry and biology equally and want to understand life processes at the molecular level, or if you're considering roles beyond pure research.Biochimie is the study of chemical processes inside living cells and organisms, combining chemistry and biology at the molecular level. You'll learn how proteins, enzymes, and other molecules work together to keep cells alive. This program includes a co-op work placement, so you alternate between classroom learning and paid jobs in labs or biotech companies, and it's taught in French.Biomedical Sciences is the study of how living systems work at the cellular and molecular level, focusing on the chemistry of life processes, genes, and how cells function. It differs from general biology by going deeper into the chemistry behind biological processes and how organisms work at the tiniest scales. This program suits students who want a science foundation for health professions, research, or biotechnology careers, but aren't yet committed to a specific path like medicine or nursing.
