What it isEnvironmental Biology is the study of how living organisms interact with their natural surroundings — plants, animals, ecosystems, and environmental problems like pollution and climate change. The BSc&Mgt option adds business and management courses, preparing you to lead environmental projects or organizations, whereas the straight BSc focuses purely on the science. This program includes co-op work terms, letting you gain field or lab experience while you study. It suits people drawn to solving real environmental challenges and wanting hands-on experience before graduation. This is a four-year science degree focused on understanding natural systems and how human activity affects them. You study biology, chemistry, ecology, and earth science together rather than picking one specialty. It suits students who want a broad grounding in environmental problem-solving and are comfortable with lab work and field studies. An Honours Science degree lets you study a science subject deeply — biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, or another physical science — and choose your own focus within it. Unlike a general science program, an Honours degree requires a concentrated major and typically includes a research or capstone component. The co-op option means you alternate between school terms and paid work placements in science-related jobs, which suits people who want real workplace experience alongside their degree.
