What it isBiomedical Science is the study of how the human body works at the cellular and molecular level, using tools from biology and chemistry to understand disease and develop treatments. The co-op option requires you to complete paid work terms at labs, hospitals, or research facilities alongside your studies, giving you real experience in the field. This program suits students who want hands-on exposure to medical science before deciding whether to pursue medicine, dentistry, or research careers. This program teaches you Earth's physical systems: rocks and minerals, landforms, weather patterns, soil, and water. You'll study how natural processes shape the planet and how humans interact with the environment through forestry, geology, and environmental management. It suits students curious about natural systems and interested in careers protecting ecosystems or managing natural resources. You study how the natural world works alongside the human systems that affect it. The BES focuses on environmental policy, conservation, and sustainability through social and geographic lenses, while the BSc emphasizes the physical science side: geology, ecology, and environmental processes. Both paths suit people interested in solving real environmental problems through either policy and community work or scientific research and analysis.
