What it is	This program teaches you how to design, build, and test software and computer systems. You learn programming, algorithms, data structures, and how computers work at a fundamental level. Engineering at Western teaches you to design and build solutions to practical problems using mathematics, science, and materials. You choose a specialization like software, mechanical, civil, or chemical engineering, or study general engineering first before deciding. Engineering I – Discovery Track lets you explore multiple engineering specializations during your first year before committing to a specific stream like chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical, or software engineering.
