What it is	You study French language, literature, and culture in depth, building fluency from wherever your current level is. This program focuses on French itself rather than combining it with another language the way some modern language programs do. It suits students who want genuine proficiency in French and are interested in how the language connects to francophone cultures and texts.	You study one modern language in depth — French, Spanish and Latin American culture, or Italian — alongside English literature and related humanities. Each stream lets you focus on the language itself, its literature, and the history and culture of regions where it's spoken. This suits you if you want genuine fluency in a second language combined with understanding of its cultural context, rather than a broad survey of multiple languages.	An Honours Arts degree lets you study humanities and social sciences in depth, choosing from subjects like history, English, anthropology, environmental studies, and others. Unlike a general arts degree, an honours program requires more advanced courses in your chosen major and typically demands higher academic performance. This program suits students who want to explore ideas across cultures, societies, and texts, and who are willing to commit to deeper study in at least one subject area.
