What it isThis program combines the study of international affairs and modern languages, so you analyse global politics, development, and cross-cultural issues while building fluency in at least one foreign language. Unlike a straight language degree, you focus on how languages connect to real-world international problems and policy. The co-op component means you alternate between classroom and paid work terms with governments, NGOs, or international organizations. It suits people who want language skills tied to global careers rather than language study alone. This program examines cities and the environmental, social, and economic forces that shape them. You study planning, sustainability, and development through multiple disciplines — ecology, sociology, economics, and policy — rather than focusing on one subject alone. It suits students interested in how cities work and who want to understand urban problems from many angles at once.Honours Science is a broad science degree where you choose your major from fields like biology, chemistry, environmental science, computer science, or archaeology. Unlike a general science program, an honours degree requires you to specialize in one subject and complete more advanced courses in that area. It suits students who want a strong grounding in science but haven't yet decided on one specific career path, or who want deeper knowledge in a particular field.
