What it is	Financial Mathematics and Economics is a mathematics-based degree that combines the study of economic systems and financial markets with advanced math and statistics. Unlike a pure economics or pure mathematics program, it trains you to use mathematical models and analysis to solve real-world problems in finance and economics. It suits students who want rigorous quantitative training and are interested in how money, markets, and economies actually work.	Arts and Humanities programs at Western let you study literature, history, languages, creative work, and visual art — subjects focused on human culture and expression rather than science or business. You can pursue a general BA, combine business with arts, earn a specialized BFA in fine art, or complete a shorter certificate or diploma. The co-op option lets you alternate study terms with paid work placements related to your field. This suits people drawn to writing, analysis, visual creativity, or understanding how societies and cultures work.	In this program, you study an Arts subject — such as English, Economics, Drama, or Environmental Studies — while simultaneously earning your teaching qualification. Unlike a regular BA where you add teacher training after, you complete both degrees together over four years, so you graduate ready to teach your subject in Ontario schools. It suits students who know they want to teach a specific subject and want to combine their subject expertise with education training from the start.	A BA General with an Area of Concentration lets you study one subject in depth — say English Studies or Economics — while taking electives across other humanities and social sciences. Unlike a specialized honours program, this approach gives you flexibility to explore multiple fields without committing fully to a single discipline.
