What it is	Nursing is a program where you study how to care for patients, manage their treatment, and support their health across hospitals, clinics, and community settings. Unlike a general health science degree, nursing combines classroom learning in anatomy, pharmacology, and patient care with hands-on clinical placements where you work alongside qualified nurses. This program suits people who want direct patient contact, are comfortable with responsibility for others' wellbeing, and are willing to work in demanding, shift-based roles.	This program teaches you how the brain and nervous system work at every level, from cells and molecules to behaviour and thought. You study human biology, chemistry, and mathematics alongside neuroscience courses that explore how neurons communicate and how damage or disease affects the mind and body. If you choose co-op, you'll alternate between classroom study and paid work terms at research labs or hospitals, giving you real experience alongside your degree.	Life Sciences at UTM lets you study how living systems work, from the structure of molecules to human health and evolution. You can focus on areas like molecular biology, biotechnology, human biology, or anthropology depending on your interests. The program includes optional co-op work terms that let you gain hands-on experience in labs, hospitals, or research settings alongside your coursework — useful if you're considering health professions or research careers.
